MEN IN MARRIAGE - A MARRIED LIFE MINISTRIES SEMINAR
The Men In Marriage seminar is an introductory workshop designed to help men understand the intricate demands of married life as well as the distinct personality and communication differences between men and women.
After more then ten years of working with married couples and interviewing hundreds of men I have discovered that the vast majority of men experience the same problems and are confronted with the same challenges. The good news is that most men already have many of the skills required to be successful in marriage but they just don’t know how and when to apply them. Men typically do not know what is expected of them or how to effectively communicate with their wife.
The Men In Marriage seminar will be held twice a month starting in September on Saturdays; 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Our location will vary depending on participant location. We are now taking fall registrations for this one day seminar. For additional information please send and email to: retreats@marriedlifeministries.com
We will attempt to collect and record the most frequesntly asked questions and postour answers to these questions. Please submitt your questions to info@marriedlifeministries.com .
Q: Will my wedding be recognized by the Roman Catholic Church as a valid sacrament:
At the Vatican on June 16, 2000, Pope John Paul II ratified and ordered the publication Dominus Jesus. This declaration of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith was signed by Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger, now Pope Benedict XVI, in August of the same year.
In this declaration, the Roman Catholic Church recognizes the validity of Orders and Sacraments of other Catholic denominations:
These churches which, while not existing in perfect communion with the (Roman) Catholic Church, remain united to her by means of closest bond; that is by apostolic succession and valid Eucharist, and are true particular churches.
Therefore, these separated Churches and communities as such ... have by no means been deprived of significance and importance in the mystery of salvation. For the spirit of Christ has not refrained from using them as means of salvation, which derive their efficacy from the very fullness of grace and truth entrusted to the Catholic Church.
